A Tree Risk Assessment report can be useful in many different situations.
Often times a tree removal or pruning permit requires a Tree Risk Assessment report be included with the permit application. If there is a tree on your neighbor’s property that you are concerned could cause damage to your property, having a Tree Risk Assessment report completed and on file can help streamline the insurance claim process if it does end up causing damage. In some areas, Home Owners Associations are required to retain Tree Risk Assessment reports for trees removed in Native Growth Protection Areas owned and maintained by the HOA.
A Tree Risk Assessment report is most often required to be completed by a TRAQ certified arborist. This is an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) certified arborist who has also completed the Tree Risk Assessment Qualification courses and maintains ongoing education in accordance with the ISA.
